David Jerome combines two of his passions: travel and comedy writing into one warm and funny travel adventure. So many books, and so little time! How can you decide what to read next? We have the solution! Join other Brea Readers at the Brea Public Library to discuss books! All kinds of books! Talk about what you liked, what you didn't like, and get new ideas from readers just like you. Come by on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM and share with other book lovers! Harry Potter Book Club The Harry Potter Book Club meets on the second Tuesday at 6:00 PM to discuss the books and movies in the Harry Potter series. We talk about the stories, how they relate to the entire series, and how they compare to their movies. We also have a trivia challenge to see who know the most about HP! Brea Storytime Preschool Storytime Stop by at 11:00 on Monday mornings for this very popular program, which includes stories, songs, and activities to help develop early literacy skills. Preschool children of all ages are welcome and no prior registration is needed.
Brea Teen Events TAB Group The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 6:00 PM to plan, promote, and put on events for teens in the library. Some past and future events include Fear Factor Day, Movie Night, Crafts, Murder Mystery Night, Video Game Day, Scavenger Hunt, Henna Tattoos, and Food Drive. Anime Club Brea Library's Anime Club meets every other Saturday at 3:00 PM to watch and discuss anime series and movies. We offer a mix of anime-themed events with anime viewing days. Some past and future events include Hetalia International Pot Luck Day, AMV favorites day, Name That Tune, Best Opening Contest, Trivia Tournament, Karaoke Day, and Cosplay Day. Brea Computer Classes Computer Tutoring Beginning Internet Tutorial for adults are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:30 am, before the library is open. Call to reserve your time for this free, individual one-hour tutorial. We will help you get started if you are new to computers or the Internet. The Global IT Academy from Brea Olinda High School will provide one-on-one tutoring or computer classes at the library on Saturday mornings.
